At Toni & Tucker Co, we believe clothing should be designed for your shape, not just your size. That's the Harmony Fit philosophy.
What Is a Middle-Harmony Shape?
The Middle-Harmony shape — often called "apple-shaped" — is characterized by a fuller midsection and torso, a less-defined waistline, and proportionally slimmer hips and legs. Your shoulders may be broad, and your weight concentrates through the center of your body.
If you've ever put on a dress that fit your hips and shoulders perfectly but strained or bunched across the midsection, you know the problem. Standard garments are drafted with waist suppression that doesn't account for center fullness. The fit gap is real — and it's fixable.
What Works for the Middle-Harmony Shape
- Empire and A-line silhouettes that flow from just under the bust, skimming the midsection
- Wrap-style dresses and tops that create a visual waist without constriction
- V-necklines and scoop necks that lengthen the torso and draw the eye upward
- Vertical seam lines and prints that elongate rather than widen
- Structured fabrics that hold their shape and don't cling through the midsection
- Monochromatic dressing — one color head to toe creates a long, unbroken line
What to avoid: wide horizontal stripes across the belly, cropped styles that end at the widest point, and clingy jersey fabrics through the torso.
